This track was inspired by my first Ayahuasca session and beautiful heartbreak. I learned more than ever through my Aya ceremony that I need to sing for myself and for everyone and everything. Stay soft was a message from my heart when my ego so badly wanted to hate a person who had done some things that broke my heart. Sadly, so many people become hardened by other people's actions and forget that none of this is permanent and there is no point in holding onto resentments. Let it go, stay soft, and keep lovingggg. The Mantra in this song is Aum Mani Padme Hum, translating to The Jewel in the Lotus in the Heart. This is a mantra of compassion, and reminds me to never forget about the power that lies in my heart, and that power, that love, will lead me through any darkness and difficulty I go through in this life. It reminds me to love myself despite my flaws.
lyrics
Through all of this hurting
I must remember, I am learning
Gotta keep on yearning, keep the fire burning
no loss, no break, gon' put me out
And I will stand, amongst the flames
centered and grounded in that place
and I will learn, to ride these waves with grace
let the tears stream down my face
And I know, it's gonna take some time, to realign
But with patience I realize,
I can survive anything, If i just remember, remember to sing
Sing for the others, sing for yourself
sing for the mother, sing for her health
sing for those who have no voice
and sing for those who take away their choice
sing that they might find their way home
singing Aum Mani Padme Hum
For you are an instrument, to sing the song of Jah
sit back in reverence, and praise the might of Mah
Find that jewel in the center of your heart
shine it's light, lead you through the dark
And oh I know, these times a get a hard
oh but please, please remain soft
